Masterworks Museum Tour Update

The IGOR Masterworks Museum Tour opened at the prestigious R.W. Norton Gallery in Shreveport Louisiana a few months ago. The quality of the exhibition is amazing and overall it's been very successful in terms of attendance and interest.

The museum tour will soon travel to the second venue at the prestigious Appleton Museum of Art in Ocala, Florida. The dates of this exhibition are September 1 thru October 31, 2015.

Masterworks from The International Guild of Realism
This is a new initiative intended to recognize and showcase achievement in realism in the form of a traveling museum exhibition. The exhibition consists of 72 artworks selected by a jury-of-peers. The mission of the International Guild of Realism is to advance realism in fine art and to promote the careers of the representational artists it represents. Among the goals of The Guild are to recognize the best realists working today, and to share their work with the public. Masterworks from The International Guild of Realism is comprised of a range of high quality artwork, extending from the ultra-contemporary to timeless traditional realism.

About David J. Wagner, LLC
David J. Wagner, Ph.D. is President and Chief Curator/Tour Director of a limited liability corporation located in the state of Wisconsin, established for the principle purpose of producing and managing museum exhibitions and traveling exhibits throughout North America. David Wagner is also a prominent arts administrator, curator, lecturer, teacher, and author, with over twenty years of diversified senior-level experience in a range of art, higher education, museum environments, organizations and projects. He possesses a extensive track record of innovative strategies in art administration, as well as with achievements in curation, teaching, research, and management. He earned his Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Minnesota, where he wrote an award-winning dissertation on art prints. He earned his M.A. in Arts Administration from the Graduate School of Business at Indiana University; and a Bachelors degree in Music and Art History from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Wagner possess a high-level of awareness of professional museum practices and standards, and has been a driving force behind numerous collaborations and partnerships.

In 1998, David Wagner created a limited liability corporation in the state of Wisconsin, for the principle purpose of producing and managing museum exhibitions and traveling exhibits throughout North America. It has since produced traveling exhibitions of artwork in collaboration with The Susan K. Black Foundation, The American Academy of Equine Art, and The Society of Animal Artists, among others. David J. Wagner, L.L.C. has produced and toured numerous other exhibitions under its own auspices, including American Still Lifes, America's Parks, The Art of Robert Bateman, Art of the Dive / Portraits of the Deep, Art of the Rainforest, Biodiversity in the Art of Carel Pieter Brest van Kempen, LeRoy Neiman: A Retrospective, Masters of American Photography, Paws and Reflect: Art of Canines, the sequel to Feline Fine: Art of Cats, Scratchboards of John Agnew, The Sea of Cortez, Kent Ullberg: A Retrospective, American Wildlife Art (based on the book of the same title); Environmental Impact; and more. A Member of The American Alliance of Museums and the International Council of Museums, David J. Wagner was the recipient of the Susan K. Black Foundation, 2010 Black-Parkman Award for Art Industry Leadership.
