"Rendezvous in Carmel"
Opening Weekend of Events: September 22nd & 23rd, 2017
The International Guild of Realism (IGOR) is proud to share the highlights of our 12th Annual IGOR Exhibition. This year's exhibition is held at the prestigious Winfield Gallery in beautiful Carmel, CA, from September 23rd through October 23rd, 2017.
IGOR hosted several events for IGOR attendees and guests beginning on Friday afternoon, September 22nd with a tour of the best realism galleries in Carmel. Many thanks to our tour guide and IGOR member, Pam Carroll. We ended the tour at the beautiful Carmel Art Association with a very informative talk by CAA director, Sally Aberg. After a short break, we had an enjoyable wine and cheese happy hour at the beautiful white sand beach.
Later in the evening, we had an amazing group dinner at Il Fornaio restaurant inside the historic Pine Inn. On Saturday afternoon, the attendees enjoyed a three hour seminar with very interesting speakers including Don Clapper, IGOR Founding Charter Member, John O'Hern, Editor of American Art Collector magazine, IGOR members Guenevere Schwien and Camille Engel spoke about the importance of Facebook and Instagram and our last speaker was Dr. David Orlowski who spoke on the psychology of realism in fine art. We ended our art events with a very busy art opening at the impressive Winfield Gallery on Saturday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, September 23rd. Many thanks to all of the IGOR artists and guests who attended the above events.

About the Gallery
Our annual international exhibition was at the prestigious Winfield Gallery in the heart of the Carmel Art District. The gallery is centrally located among many quality art galleries, luxury shops and fine dining, attracting plenty of affluent visitors during the peak summer season. We couldn't have asked for a better time or location in this important U.S. art market.
Winfield Gallery was founded in 1989 by Christopher Winfield. Their principal focus is the representation of contemporary art by established, mid-career and emerging artists whose diverse practices include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics and photography.
The gallery hosts multiple exhibitions a year and maintains a deep commitment to promote our artists' careers. Winfield Gallery collaborates with museum curators, produce catalogs and books, establish relationships with the press and continue collector education and development. The gallery creates an atmosphere that builds bridges between the creative work, collectors and art enthusiasts at all levels.
Carmel and Monterey are the most beautiful coastal areas of the United States. There are several sights to see such as the scenic 17-Mile Drive with views of the Pacific Ocean, Pebble Beach Golf Course, Monterey, the beautiful village of Carmel-by-the-Sea with numerous high end art galleries and so much more. Also, Carmel is about two hours away from San Francisco.
Selected Artists
The International Guild of Realism had a huge number of paintings entered, and without a doubt, the quality was excellent! Thank you, IGOR Artists for entering our 12th Annual Exhibition.
The jurors, after reviewing the images over a period of a week, made the difficult final selection. Deciding upon a limited number of paintings from an impressive array of entries wasn't an easy task, and the jurors could not resist adding more pieces to this exhibition than originally planned. Here is the final selection!
