Artist's Biography

Leila Ashton's portraits are currently held in numerous collections throughout the Southeast and from coast to coast. A gifted artist since childhood, she has studied extensively to develop that gift. She has been a successful portrait artist for many years. At present, she is also producing other paintings and drawings using her gift for creative realism.

In national and international juried art exhibitions, Leila Ashton has twice been a finalist in the Portrait Society of America’s ‘Members Only’ Competition. She has received First Place and Exceptional Merit Awards in exhibitions of the Portrait Society of Atlanta and the Southeastern Pastel Society, and has received awards in exhibitions of several other arts organizations.

In both her portrait work, and her fine art work, her greatest reward is to give delight and pleasure to a client by producing beautiful realism; in both nature and in humanity, to focus attention on the joy of what is really there. It is work she loves to do.
