Winfield Gallery was founded in 1989 by Christopher Winfield. Their principal focus is the representation of contemporary art by established, mid-career and emerging artists whose diverse practices include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics and photography.
The gallery hosts multiple exhibitions a year and maintains a deep commitment to promote our artistsâ careers. Winfield Gallery collaborates with museum curators, produce catalogs and books, establish relationships with the press and continue collector education and development. The gallery creates an atmosphere that builds bridges between the creative work, collectors and art enthusiasts at all levels.
Entry Deadline: May 20, 2017
Juried Results Announced: June 1-10, 2017
Shipping or Delivery: Delivered to gallery between September 11-15, 2017
Exhibition Dates: September 23 - October 23, 2017
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 23, 2017
All entrants must be Guild Members at the time of the judging as well as during the exhibition (e.g., annual dues must have been paid, and all rules and entry requirements fulfilled).
We do encourage members to submit new and fresh works of art of the highest quality in order to make our 12th Annual IGOR exhibition a smashing success! Ideally, the submitted artworks ideally should not have been exhibited in previous gallery shows.
Only original artwork created solely by the artist's hand will be accepted. No digitally-manipulated images, photos, collages, giclees, photocopies, prints, laser prints, and/or any other reproductions will be accepted.
All accepted artwork must be professionally framed or on a professionally finished gallery-wrapped canvas (neat staple-free sides).
As customary during our annual juried exhibitions, we ask the gallery to appoint a guest judge(s) to award ribbons in different categories to selected Guild Members for their outstanding artwork. All award winners will receive their ribbons by mail after the conclusion of the exhibition.
Winfield Gallery welcomes all IGOR Artists and their guests to attend the opening reception on the evening of Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. We will also be having multiple seminars on current topics plus other art get-togethers for attendees. There are excellent hotels and resorts in the Carmel and Monterey area. As usual, we will send out a Travel Guide by email a few months before the opening reception. We will truly have a fun filled three days of numerous art related activities so we encourage as many IGOR members as possible to attend these events this September in beautiful Carmel whether you have been juried in the show or not.
