The International Guild of Realism (IGOR) is proud to announce a "call for entries" for our upcoming 8th Annual IGOR Exhibition at the grand Tempe Center for the Arts in Tempe, Arizona, which will be held from October 4 through November 30 , 2013.

The Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) is an architectural marvel and some have called it the "Guggenheim" of Arizona. As you can see by the below pictures it's truly a magnificent and beautiful city owned facility and it will be an amazing venue for our upcoming 8th Annual IGOR Exhibition. The center itself has a spacious museum style gallery which will host our exhibition, plus two theaters, a gift store, a lounge and much more. The Tempe Center for the Arts is located on the shore of the Tempe town lake in the heart of the city of Tempe and close to the Arizona State University campus. It is also a few miles south of the historic arts district of Scottsdale and a few miles east of downtown Phoenix. Sky Harbor International Airport is a 5 minute short cab drive away, we hope many of you will be able to attend.

Since we had amazing success with our seminar and other fun activities at our 7th Annual Exhibition in Carmel, California, we will be expanding our program by including several new events during our upcoming show. We are planning to have several seminars for artist attendees, painting demonstrations plus a private opening for VIPs and art collectors on Friday October 4 and then an additional public opening on Saturday October 5. This exhibition will be a major museum show combined with a selling event which will be heavily marketed in many national art publications. We encourage all of our IGOR members to start painting their masterpieces and have them finished before the deadline. We ask you to be a part of this incredible art experience. Everyone is invited to participate in the weekends activities whether juried in or not. This will be a weekend to learn, make friends, connections, create moments for social media and other publicity, win awards and last but not least to sell your beautiful artworks. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All entrants must be Guild Members in good standing at the time of the judging as well as during the exhibition (e.g., annual dues must have been paid, and all rules and entry requirements fulfilled). No outside artists can enter this exhibition. You must be juried in as a new member of IGOR before the entry deadline.

We do encourage members to submit new and fresh works of art of the highest quality in order to make our 8th Annual IGOR exhibition a smashing success! Ideally, the submitted artworks should not have been exhibited in previous gallery shows. Only original artwork created solely by the artistŐs hand will be accepted. No digitally-manipulated images, photos, collages, giclees, photocopies, prints, laser prints, and/or any other reproductions will be accepted.
 

IGOR AWARDS

As customary during our annual juried exhibitions, we ask the gallery to appoint a guest judge(s) to award ribbons in different categories to selected Guild Members for their outstanding artwork. All award winners will receive their ribbons by mail after the conclusion of the exhibition.
 

THE OPENING RECEPTION

The Tempe Center for the Arts welcomes all IGOR Artists and their guests to attend the opening reception on the evening of Saturday, October 5, 2013. As we stated above, we will also be having a private opening on October 4, 2013 for IGOR attendees plus invited collectors and VIPs. We will also be having multiple seminars on current topics plus other art get-togethers for attendees. There are excellent hotels and resorts in the Tempe/Scottsdale/Phoenix area. We will truly have a fun filled three-day period of numerous art related activities so we encourage as many IGOR members as possible to attend these events next October in Tempe, Arizona whether you have been juried in the show or not.
